Dogs need time to make decisions

Sometimes, dogs feel unsure and need a moment to decide. In this video Layka enters an abandoned house after some decision-making. She has been inside this building before but still she needs some time.

Notice how quiet Layka's carer is in this video. She doesn't interfere and remains still whilts Layka decides. Great job!

Giving our dogs the opportunity to choose what to do makes them more self-confident. We can see that in Layka's face at the end of the video. After a shake-off to remove some tension from her body her expression is one of achievement.
